To Live Today! To Care Today! To Be a Friend Today!
Follow the Leader!
One of our youth said this about the retreat:
"This weekend we spent a lot of time learning about the life of Jesus, and how people perceived him. This created a personal kind of connection with me, because like us, Jesus was judged, people had expectations of him, and they didn't always like him! Overall I really loved our classes!"
"My favorite part of the retreat was catching up with some friends that I rarely get to see, and being able to be together like big family once again. Also, I got to bring TW on her first retreat and that was awesome!"
On Friday, March 30th, we call gathered at the Lexington house and church for our annual Spring Retreat. The plan for the weekend involved the New England Aquarium, an IMAX movie, some trekking along the Freedom Trail, lots of fun and fellowship, some educational time about Palm Sunday and the life and way of Jesus, and a four congregation worship service and potluck. As if that weren't enough, we planned to end the potluck Sunday with our 2nd Annual Wooly Willy Fundraiser. As always, we pack the weekend knowing full well that when it's over, we'll look back completely exhausted and saying, "What a great retreat that was! It was so nice to be together again."
In the words of the A-Team leader, "I love it when a plan comes together."
Thank you for your continued interest in and support of our youth program.
